Waltham 0s 16J, circa 1906
Model 1891, "PS Bartlett"
Pendant Set, Stem Wind
Gold Filled Hunting Case
Dial: The single sunk
dial is signed WALTHAM. There are no blemishes visible. Looks
about as nice as the day it left the factory! The blue spade hands
have some minor discoloration visible upon very close inspection.
Overall, it shows very nice!
Movement: The movement
is signed PS BARTLETT, WALTHAM, MASS. This features a very rare
"gold flash" plating over the nickel damaskeened movement.
It is absolutely beautiful! It also features screw down jewel settings,
and an expansion balance. This well running American watch has been
serviced recently, and is keeping good time!
Case: This case
is in good working order. It is signed FAHY'S inside the dust cover
(inner back lid). It is also marked WARRANTED TO WEAR PERMANENTLY.
This means it is a heavy 14K gold plating over the base metal. This
case is in very good shape, with very very minor scuffs visible
upon very close inspection. It also has some scratches on the inner
back cover (dust cover) from someone not being careful when attempting
to open it. This is very common. All of the lids, hinges, and latch
function properly. Overall is a fine surviving example of a typical
ladies gold filled case around 100 years ago.
Crystal: The
clear glass crystal is in nearly new condition!
