Model 1883, "PS Bartlett"
Frosted Nickel Movement
Stem Wind, Lever Set
Fancy Gold Filled Hunter Case
Dial: This original single
sunk dial is signed "Am. Watch Co Waltham" and is in NEW
condition! It features black Roman numerals and does not have any
hairlines or other blemishes. You don't find them in better condition
than this! The original spade hands are deep blue and appear to
be in excellent condition.
Movement: This beautiful
frosted nickel damaskeened movement is in excellent condition. The
design of the damaskeening is some sort of a multi sided star from
the center of the movement. It has the original blued screws, even
for the screw down jewel settings. It also features the Waltham
patent "star" regulator, Breguet hair spring, and an expansion balance.
This well running "P.S. Bartlett grade movement has been professionally
cleaned, oiled, and timed and keeps good time!
Case: Ornately engraved
fancy gold filled case is marked "Fahy's Montauk No 1".
It is in real nice shape, with minor pocket wear and just a touch
of brass showing on the back lid, and even less on the front lid.
The stiff bow appears original and somewhat worn, but does not detract
from the beauty of this case at all. The crown is in good shape
as well, showing little signs of use. The latch and hinges function
as they should, while the case spring is a little weak, but functional.
All lids and covers open to 90 degrees as they should.
Crystal: The clear glass crystal
is in excellent condition and shows off this pristine dial very
