Nickel Alloy Keywind Case
Dial: This original
single sunk dial is signed AM WATCH CO WALTHAM. This classic dial
features Roman hour numerals with a minute track towards the edge.
It is in good condition with some minor hairline cracks as visible
in the photos below. The spade hands are in excellent condition
as well!
Movement: This gilded
movement is signed WALTHAM WATCH CO, ADJUSTED. The gilding does
have some minor blemishes, but is still pretty bright and shiny.
This 11 jewel key wound movement features screw down jewel settings,
and an expansion balance. This well running American watch has been
serviced recently, and is keeping decent time! (Key wound model
1883s are not all that common!)
Case: This case
is in good working order. It is signed SILVERODE. There are also
a few dings and light surface scratches from honest use, but this
heavy duty nickel alloy case has a lot of life left. All three hinges
and lids are in fine working order.
Crystal: The
thick clear glass crystal has see some use. It has some scratches
from normal pocket wear from decades of use. It shows very well
for such!
