Rockford 16s 17J, circa 1908

Model 5, Grade 573, OF

Stem Set, Stem Wind

Ornate Gold Filled Case

Dial: Original Rockford marked double sunk dial is in excellent shape.  There are some hairlines around the 55 minute mark and even more faint hairlines can be spotted near the 7 hour mark.  Hands appear to be original, and are blue in color.  Some of the color has come off the minute hand, but still shows well.  Most of these blemishes are so minor that they are very difficult to spot without magnification.

Movement:  Movement has excellent damaskeening and shows no signs of abuse.  There are a couple of faint spots on the click, crown and winding wheel, as seen in photos.  Bridge model movement is running good and keeping good time.  Balance has good motion and arc as it should.  It is marked "Rockford Watch Co" and "17 Jewels".

Case:  Gold filled case is marked Twenty Years and was make by Philadelphia Watch Case Company.  Beautiful ornate case has some brass showing on the outer edge and on the bow.  This is a real nice case despite the minor brass showing!  Front and back bezel thread on and off as they should.

Crystal:  Clear beveled crystal looks good and appears to be made of glass.
