This high quality mechanical pocket watch features a shock protected 17 Jewel wind up mechanical movement. Like all mechanical pocket watches, it must be wound daily to keep time. Unlike a quartz watch, a mechanical pocket watch never needs a battery!

This beauty features a skeletonized 17 Jewel mechanical movement with a scratch resistant crystal on the front and a mineral glass crystal on the back of the case, exposing the intricate workings. The large case is close to the size of the antique "16s" size pocket watches from Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois and Waltham. The high quality 17 Jewel wind up mechanical movement is a replica of the skeletonized Swiss Unitas/ETA movements, used in most high end Swiss pocket watches currently in production.
