RAIL ROAD WATCH!
Gold Filled Screw Back Case
According to the
latest Illinois research, there were only 300 of this type of
Bunn pocket watch made! Don't miss your chance to own one of only
300 ever produced!
Dial: The
dial on this highly collectable railroad dial is in excellent
condition, with just a couple of very light eyelash hairlines,
as seen in the photo. This original double sunk dial is signed
"ILLINOIS". The plum colored spade type railroad hands
are in good shape with some discoloration, but appear to be original.
Movement: This
Railroad grade movement is marked "BUNN, ILLINOIS WATCH CO,
SPRINGFIELD" in red filled engraving. It is also marked "ADJUSTED
TEMP AND FIVE POSITIONS", as well as "JEWELED BARREL,
19 JEWELS". It features a double roller escapement, expansion
balance, ruby jewels in gold screw down settings, gold timing
screws and wheels, and a patent micrometric regulator. There were
only 300 of this Bunn variant ever produced! It has been serviced
and is keeping excellent time! It is ready to be worn every day,
or put into your rail road collection.
Case: This
screw back and bezel case is in great condition with lots of life
left! There are signs of light use, including light pocket wear,
and some minor wear to the brass on the case. Remember, this watch
was made for the railroads, and was probably used daily. The front
bezel and rear lid thread on and off properly. The crown has very
minor wear but is still very functional. The worn bow was tightened
when this watch was professionally serviced.
Crystal: The brilliant
new old stock clear glass crystal really makes the watch look
great!
