Illinois 16s 15J, circa 1898

Model 5, Grade 183

Lever Set, Stem Wind

Gold Filled Hinged Back Case

Dial:  This metal single sunk Arabic numeral dial is signed Illinois. It appears to be a factory replacement. It has quite a few surface marks, as seen in the photos below. The thick cobalt blue spade hands are in excellent condition!

Movement:  The nickel damaskeened movement is in excellent condition! This is one of the more desireable "Getty" models, with only one exposed winding wheel. It features an expansion balance, patent micro-regulator, and 15 jewels in screw down settings! It has been professionally cleaned and oiled and is keeping good time!

Case:  The hinged back and snap bezel gold filled case is in great condition! There are some signs of use, including some very minor wear, but none of the brass base metal appears to be showing. The front bezel snaps on and off properly. The back cover snaps open and closed properly as well. The fancy bow and crown are in excelletn shape as well.

Crystal:  Nice clear glass crystal looks in nearly new condition!

Dimensions:
About 2 inches wide (about 49 mm)
About 2 1/2 inches tall (about 72 mm)
About 1/2 inch thick (about 13 mm)
