Railroad Grade!
Dial: This double sunk
Arabic numeral dial is signed HAMPDEN WATCH CO. It is in fine
shape, with a minor hairline crack or two visible upon very close
inspection. The blue spade hands are in great condition as well!
Movement: This nickel
damaskeened movement is marked THE DUEBER WATCH CO, CANTON, OHIO.
It features screw down jewel settings, patent regulator, and a compensated
balance. This well running watch has been professionally cleaned
and oiled, and is keeping good time!
Case: The gold
filled case is signed S.W.C.CO. GOLD FILLED 20 YEARS. It show slots
of use, including minor scuffs and scratches from normal pocket
wear. Most of the design on the back cover is worn off, and there
is some wear to the brass below the heavy layer of gold. The bow
and crown appear to be replacement, and have lots of life left.
The front and back thread on and off properly. This case appears
original to this watch movement!
Crystal: The
thick glass crystal in in nearly new condition, but there appears
to be two tiny circles near the edge that are very difficult to
spot.
