Hamilton 18s 17J, circa 1905
Model 926, Railroad Watch
Lever Set, Stem Wind
Gold Filled Case
Dial: Original single
sunk dial is signed HAMILTON WATCH CO. Overall, it shows real well.
The only blemishes are a few tiny edge chips visible when the bezel
is removed. The minute and second hands appear original, and have
some slight discoloration. The matching hour hand appears new, and
is likely a factory replacement.
Movement: This is a
nice rail road grade model 926. It features a screw down jewel settings,
and expansion balance, and a patent regulator. It is marked HAMILTON
WATCH CO, LANCASTER, PA. It is also marked 17 JEWELS, ADJUSTED.
The nickel damaskeening and the gold colored engravings show well.
This well running RR Watch has been professionally cleaned and oiled,
and is keeping excellent time!
Case: The gold
filled screw back and bezel case is in good condition. There are
some signs of use, including a touch of wear to the brass towards
the bottom of the case body. The wear is hard to spot. The front
bezel and back lid thread on and off properly. The bow is nice and
snug, and the crown has a lot of life left.
Crystal: This
glass crystal is in great condition!
