Elgin 16s 17J, circa 1921
Model 7, Grade 387
Pendant Set, Stem Wind
Screw Back & Bezel "Silverode"
Case
Dial: This original
single sunk Arabic numeral dial is signed ELGIN. There are several
light hair line cracks visible upon inspection near the 3 o'clock
position as pictured below. The dull black hands appear to have
been refinished at some point.
Movement: The
nickel damaskeened movement features screw down jewel settings and
a patent micro regulator. It has been professionally cleaned and
oiled and is keeping good time - about 1 minute per day in positions.
Case: The screw
back and bezel case is marked EXCELSIOR SILVERODE. This nickel case
has some minor scuffs and scratches from normal wear. The front
bezel is somewhat difficult to thread on and off. The back threads
on smoothly. The bow and crown show little use.
Crystal: Clear
glass crystal is in NEW condition!
