Elgin 16s 15J, circa 1901
Model 7, Grade 248, "Three
Finger Bridge" model
Pendant Set, Stem Wind
Gold Filled Screw Back & Bezel
Case
Dial: This original
ELGIN signed fancy dial is in excellent condition, with very minimal
signs of its age visible upon close inspection under magnification!
There is at least one very faint hairline visible upon magnification.
It is very rare to find one of these fancy dials in such excellent
condition! The blue hands also appear in great condition!
Movement: This
uncommon and desirable "3 Finger bridge" model is excellent
condition. Aesthetically, there are some extremely minor blemishes
on the winding wheels that do not effect its performance.
The nickel damaskeened movement has 15 jewels. It also features
screw down jewel settings as well as a patent microregulator. It
has been professionally serviced and is keeping excellent time!
Case: The case
is marked GIBRALTAR GUARANTEED GOLD FILLED. There is very minor
wear to the brass visible upon close inspection. There are also
a couple of dings and scuffs from regular use. Overall, it is in
good condition, but not pristine. It also appears that this case
is original to the watch. The bow is nice and tight, and it is in
good condition as well. The crown is grips well, and the bezel and
case back thread on and off properly.
Crystal: The
nearly clear glass crystal is in new condition!
